| Little Red |
Little Red was a colorful experiment in several areas. I wanted to use the frame a little bit to tell a story and crop for effect. I like the bold red colors and the pink fringe. She is holding the basket kind of weird, because it may have been an after thought. One area I struggle with is people...I never want to eliminate their peach-ness colored skin and find I will shade in the entire picture, masterfully rendered from darkest dark to bright white, but fail to do any color variation on the skin, especially if the character is a girl. So, that's why she looks that way. Recognizing I have a problem is the first step to moving forward. Today, we take that step together!
